Bobby Stagg
Originally from Edmonton but a long time Quebec resident, Bobby Stagg has recorded and toured with a veritable who’s who of Canadian and Quebec artists over the past 25 plus years.
Bobby’s first solo album is entitled “Mean Business”, released on 10.4 records. “Mean Business” travels down a roots and blues road with a healthy dose of Stagg humor thrown into the mix.
Catch him live along with Adam Lalonde on drums, Stuart Patterson on bass, and Barb Harris on additional vocals.
Veranda
Veranda is an old-time Country and Bluegrass duet based in Montreal.
Veranda est un duo Country et Bluegrass basé à Montréal.
They met at Barfly, a cozy place that we could call the institution of bluegrass music in Montreal. They became friends, then music partners, then they started writing music together. This is approximately how Veranda was born.
Leandre is a musician, working with well-established artists (Sara Dufour, Laurence Jalbert, Notre-Dame-de-Grass). He also is a singer-songwriter. Catherine-Audrey is a professional actress, and a singer-songwriter (caterinomusique.com). They may come from different spheres, but they have one thing in common: They love country and bluegrass music. And mostly, they love singing together.
Veranda is where their influences collide. They stand between country and bluegrass, between simplicity and virtuosity. Their music is full of sweet harmonies and soulful melodies.
