April 28th: Alan Brown & Jean-Guy Haché Open for Sin and Swoon

Sin and Swoon

Sin and Swoon draw inspiration from the simplicity of two voices and guitars, creating an intense back and forth between them. They take turns supporting and leading with the other while exploring the dynamics within old time country music and the tenderness of century old ballads. Artists like Doc Watson, The Delmore Brothers and The Louvin Brothers guide them in their search for stories, either from their own personal lives or of people of our times.

Opener:

Alan Brown and Jean-Guy Haché

Singer/songwriter Alan Brown has his musical roots in blues and rock. His band The Sidetrack played at The New Penelope in the late 60’s before becoming the house band at the Cafe au Go Go in New York City. Since then Alan has spanned musical genres with groups like Random Hush, the Sainte-Anne Singers, and Thin Ice, to name a few. A regular performer at the Sainte-Anne Blues Cafe, Alan often has seasoned musicians joining him on stage. This year he has the pleasure of playing with his friend and neighbour, luthier Jean-Guy Haché.

Alan is an accomplished composer and arranger, his work can be heard on ReverbNation at

Jean-Guy Haché is an accomplished guitar player and luthier who has played, made, and repaired string instruments for over 20 years. Recently retired, and after building his house and workshop, he devotes his days to these two passions in the surrounding active music community.
